ReachWeaver 0.5.3 release notes
Released on 2026-10-17.
A patch release for people who install with pipx install reachweaver: reachweaver workspace --init now creates config/accounts.json from the pip package, so the first doctor works. Plus two install guides. No change to approval, dry-run, emergency-stop or credential rules.
Upgrade notes. None needed. Update the package with pipx upgrade reachweaver and the plugin through /plugin. An existing workspace is untouched: workspace --init never overwrites a file.
Documentation
Section titled “Documentation”- Install guides. docs/INSTALL.md is a table of install routes (Claude Code plugin, Python package, standalone skill installer, ZIP, git clone) and who should use which. docs/RECOMMENDED-SETUP.md is the one suggested route, step by step: plugin plus
pipx install reachweaver, one workspace folder, Claude does the work and the owner keepsconnect --guide,approveand the live send. The README and the docs index link both; a stale “while the repository is private” remark in the README installer text is corrected. - ReachWeaver is on PyPI. 0.5.2 was the first upload, by the release workflow’s
pypijob after the owner approved thepypideployment; the PyPI files have the same SHA-256 as the GitHub release assets, andpipx install reachweaverinstalls it. The README and docs/PACKAGING.md now say so.
workspace --initfrom the pip package now createsconfig/accounts.json. The example accounts file now ships inside the package (reachweaver/accounts.example.json, kept byte-equal toconfig/accounts.example.jsonby a test), so a user who runspipx install reachweaverandreachweaver workspace --init .no longer meets “Missing …/config/accounts.json” at the firstdoctor. The package smoke check (scripts/check_package.py --smoke) now runs that exact sequence in a clean environment. Affects 0.5.2 from PyPI; fixed in the next release. No change to approval, dry-run, emergency-stop or credential rules.
