Act as parallel worker 01, inspect the live repository and open work, claim exactly one unclaimed bounded issue, implement it completely with tests, publish one PR, and do not self-merge.
Issue #630, Research: stress-test Physarum adaptive compute routing, was selected after checking open PRs and issue comments. The remaining work was repository-contained and synthetic: retain PHY-1 results, add sparse/dense graph stress, sweep the named Physarum controls, and make the promote/simplify/reject decision explicit.
Issues requiring real external evidence or human-only observation were skipped.
The existing PHY-1 simulator remains the authority for environment and strategy semantics. This change adds deterministic sparse/dense topology views and a bounded sensitivity sweep for conductance floor, evaporation, and exploration.
The retained sweep is explicitly synthetic. It does not create resource eligibility or execution/merge authority.
The result is negative: the tested Physarum configuration does not earn product promotion. Explicit multipath failover has higher synthetic success in every retained environment across both graph views, while paying additional burden in many cases. Parameter changes materially move the Physarum trade-off. The recommendation is therefore to keep Physarum as research evidence and prefer simpler routing until stronger evidence changes the conclusion.
