OK go head and do it
The instruction accepts execution of the practical contributor/free-agent plan recorded in PR 406: repair the newcomer entry path, add advisory review, run one bounded free-agent trial when account authorization permits, and recruit for shared technical responsibility. The owner does not want a blog or Hacker News campaign.
Reuse existing work, keep project-funded compute spend at zero, preserve all integration/review boundaries, and do not equate a label, configuration file, or invitation with an activated agent or a recruited person.
The existing advisory CodeRabbit proposal in
PR 404 was inspected as an exact
two-file diff at 504176bb5acd44b075326375db39d77bc9db7641. Its PR-triggered
workflows, including the stable PR Gate, reported success. It was squash-merged
through the GitHub PR API, with an expected-head constraint, as
b346281792f96f8997d60331844685a6758a9494. This does not install a third-party app.
No separate human witness is claimed from automated inspection.
A later overlap check found the existing newcomer-command
PR 405. Its two-file diff was
inspected at 63d1645b576c145f2ffbe5d80041e04c6a3591b4; its exact-head
PR-triggered workflows also reported success. It was squash-merged as
80e8d945757e0d17f234f0312f984c6b434d4b69, adding pytest-based commands and
under-collection guidance to CONTRIBUTING.md and AGENTS.md. The pilot PR was
then reconciled with that work rather than retaining a competing test section.
Issue 407 was published as the voluntary technical co-maintainer / bring-your-own-agent recruitment opening. The connector has no Discussion-creation action, so the invitation uses an ordinary public issue rather than claiming a pinned Discussion was created. No unsolicited messages, mass mentions, or collaborator invitations were sent.
Starter issues 398 and 399 were updated to use existing Python commands instead
of unmerged Makefile instructions, with bounded scopes and honest verification.
Issue 402 was narrowed after PR 405 to the remaining interoperability guide,
discovery link, and before/after SDK-test evidence. Its jules label was applied
once as an execution request. No other open Jules-labelled task was found before
that request. A label is not confirmation of app authorization or execution.
PR 408 contains the discoverable operating pilot, small additions to CONTRIBUTING.md, this record, and a prepared directory entry. The first coding-agent task remains issue 402; it is not implemented by this pilot documentation change. Human-only feedback tasks remain distinct.
The connected GitHub tools can edit files, issues, and PRs, but do not expose third-party GitHub App authorization, Discussion creation, or external fork creation. Plugin discovery did not expose a Jules or CodeRabbit account tool. Owner authorization in the providers’ own interfaces is still necessary. No account subscription, paid overage, scheduler, or automatic merge permission was enabled.
The Up For Grabs entry is prepared, not submitted upstream or accepted. Its maintainer-availability requirement must be respected. Do not advertise a mentored contribution path if nobody is actually available to review it.
The local container could not resolve github.com, so it could not clone the
repository. No local full-suite or newcomer-machine execution is claimed.
Repository reads and writes used the connected GitHub tools. Commands were
compared with .github/workflows/pr-gate.yml, requirements-phase0.txt, and
interop/tests/test_sdk_conformance.py; candidate exact-head CI is the runtime
check. Later check/merge outcomes and agent acknowledgements belong in the
linked PR and task threads, not invented here before they occur.
Provider-owned documentation was consulted again on 2026-09-09. The earlier proposal’s below-ten-stars CodeRabbit trigger rule is not established by the current plans page consulted in this execution; this pilot does not rely on that threshold. Use actual account settings and observed review responses instead.
No external contributor, completed Jules task, saved maintainer time, or growth result is claimed from configuration and documentation alone.
The published invitation offers small useful contributions and a path toward shared ownership. Default test instructions no longer depend on pending local CI-tooling branches. One active owner-operated task prevents the pilot from turning into an unreviewed PR backlog; this is a human operating rule, not a new autonomous controller.
