After the active successor-five cohort completed, continue issue #180 at its next explicit lifecycle gate: a fresh audit of whether any successor-v2 task solution became public during calibration. Do not freeze the scaffold, add a definition digest, or generate scored outcomes as part of the audit.
All five tasks failed the novelty gate. Their production defects remain present
at current main, but each merged calibration program contains an exact
straightforward candidate transformation and the public receipts identify that
candidate as passing. The distinction between calibration evidence and a scored
outcome is valid for accounting, but it cannot make a disclosed answer novel.
The durable audit is recorded in
docs/research/PHASE_B2_V2_PRE_FREEZE_NOVELTY_AUDIT.md, with a machine-readable
receipt in docs/evidence/phase-b2-successor-v2-novelty-audit.json. The scaffold
remains unfrozen and is suitable as a public calibration corpus, not as a
solution-unseen scored cohort.
Use new, unexposed task identities for any scored successor. Exercise evaluator mechanics on separate analogous calibration fixtures so the exact accepted repairs for scored tasks are not committed before their definition is frozen. Preserve successor-v2 rather than rewriting or deleting its public calibration history.
The audit made no task/evaluator definition change, generated no candidate outcome, and granted no canonical-write, push, merge, spending, or automatic selection authority.
